Pathfinder is a small momentum-based platformer built in unity.  The game is a solo project of mine,  with the overall goal being to create a fast-paced movement-centered retro-styled platformer that encourages replayability. 

  • The goal is simple, finish each level without exhausting your available jumps while avoiding traps and obstacles. 
  • Different color palettes separate the three main sections of the game, each features a different selection of challenges and obstacles that will stand in your way. 
  • The game features a timer and jump tracker to log your fastest most efficient clear of each level, this will encourage players to return to the game and aim for faster, cleaner runs of each section. 

the currently available version is A DEMO for the full game. It DOES NOT represent the final product of the game. As development is ongoing, please be patient and watch for new features, changes, and updates!

Hey Schweem I returned to this game in honor of its remake, and I have 2 ideas that could really help quality of life.


First is that pressing R after you die would reset the level so you don't need the mouse.
Second is displaying time on the finish screen so you don't need to check the level select menu.
I don't expect these would be added until the remake at the earliest but these would be nice changes :)

Reached the end of first level and game lagged, tried to restart, simply cant go to 2nd level

Do you have any more specifics on the issue? I just retested the new version I put out this morning and wasn't able to recreate the described behavior.

Just pushed an update to all platforms, I was able to recreate the issue but under different circumstances. The issue should be resolved and you should be able to properly advance to the next level. If you do try again let me know how it goes!

These are impressive! I can say confidently that I've never cleared 2-2 or 2-3 in under 10 seconds. Glad you enjoyed the demo, keep an eye out soon for new levels and mechanics!

Love the game! a pretty big issue that the time saved is not your best time but either your best time from last session of attempts or maybe even just your last finish time- i want to be able to go back and grind the levels without losing my pb. Please consider changing it to where it records actual pb!
