The complete realization of the 2023 demo.

Pathfinder is a precision platformer focused on fluid movement. This remake is a thank you to everyone who tried the original demo rebuilt from the ground up in Godot 4 to fix the rough edges, clean up the visuals, and add the features I felt were missing.

It’s a short, free, fun time that expands on the gameplay you know without reinventing the wheel. The release of Pathfinder marks the end of my time in undergrad for computer science. As I transition to a Masters in Data Science I hope to continue to periodically support Pathfinder, however I will be shifting my main focus to a new project in the near future for the long haul!

What's new in the full version:

  • Refined Visuals
    • Unified color palettes for a cleaner look
    • New tilesets and clearer environments
    • Smoother player animations
  • Expanded Movement
    • New double jump mechanic
    • Added sliding and dashing for better flow
  • New & Reworked Levels
    • 12 levels + intro & outro (Up from 9 scenes in the demo)
    • Culminating challenge levels for each area
    • Better level flow and consistency
  • Improved Design
    • Reworked difficulty to be fairer and less frustrating
    • Core optimizations (runs smoother than the demo)
    • Updated UI and menus
  • Audio
    • More sound effects
    • Unique music tracks for each environment
  • Quality of Life
    • Gamepad support (Likely to get improved in menus)
    • Proper web port, no redundant or broken buttons
  • Your feedback!
    • Suggestions, fixes, and ideas from players of the demos and my 'testers' made Pathfinder possible!

Please let me know if you run into any issues! I will work as fast as I can to get anything addressed.

    Great game 8/10

If you were to add more movements in future I can see a dash or roll fitting nicely here
